Amy Winehouse night - BBC4
A night of programming dedicated to Amy Winehouse kicks off with the making of Back to Black, the second and final studio album by the singer-songwriter
On what would have been Amy’s 35th birthday, BBC4 plucks three treasures from the archives as a tribute to the singer who died in 2011.
Classic Albums celebrates 2006’s Back to Black, which featured hits such as Rehab and You Know I’m No Good; the BBC Sessions showcases Amy in action at London’s beautiful Porchester Hall (10pm), and documentary The Day She Came to Dingle (10.50pm) goes behind the scenes at an acoustic performance recorded for an Irish TV show in a remote village church.
