Anna confronts Carl about their kiss and hints that she's up for a second go, but tells him to get rid of Lexi first. Lexi returns from her holiday with Carrie, and Carl is about to dump her when she reveals that Carrie told her he killed Tom! A panicked Carl backtracks and instead tells her he loves her. Anna, meanwhile, fends off the attentions of Matthew but when she sees Carl with Lexi she furiously insists that no one makes a fool of her. Diane is intrigued about Rodney's books and asks Terry for more information. Terry tries to borrow the book from Rodney, but he turns him down. Diane tries a different tactic and invites Gabby for dinner and asks her to bring the stories with her. Later, Diane reads the book and is upset to learn her character is really dull! Brenda encourages Gennie to leave the Dingles and get a proper job, but Gennie refuses. Brenda hassles Bob into seeing Gennie for the Post Office position but after the interview, it's clear she won't get the job. Gennie gets a trial at the factory instead and Brenda decides to take Bob's offer of the post office position herself. Also, Victoria gets a job washing cars at the garage.
