After The People v OJ Simpson, American Crime Story returns with another true-life series which looks like it’s going to be every bit as addictive.
Things kick off on the morning of 15 July 1997, when Gianni Versace, played by Edgar Ramírez – who looks uncannily like the fashion designer – was shot dead outside his mansion in Florida.
The story then follows his murderer Andrew Cunanan (Glee’s Darren Criss) – a serial killer who didn’t know a lie from the truth – back in time, to when he first began stalking Versace, and then forwards to the police investigation after Versace’s death.
With co-stars including singer Ricky Martin, it’s as glitzy as the wardrobe of Donatella (Penélope Cruz).
