We reckon most people can whip up an eton mess for dessert – so we’re surprised to see Cherish and Benoit setting it as a challenge on tonight’s show.

That is until we see the six new teams at work – these are the most complicated Eton messes we have ever seen!

The new contestants include pastry chefs from the WI Cookery School, Silverstone and Hotel Café Royal, all of whom must also bake the perfect tarte au citron.
