As Bodyguard continues, David's investigations into Julia's manoeuvrings start to point to a conspiracy within the heart of the government

Missing the huge shocks of previous episodes, this outing is more about intrigue and suspicion – and some of your theories about the story are likely to be shattered.

In an effort to discover who set off the device that killed Julia Montague, David Budd (Richard Madden) turns his attention to a few suspects, first trying to find out the true identity of the mysterious ‘Richard Longcross’, who Julia met with shortly before her death.

Another suspect is Roger Penhaglion (Nicholas Gleaves), Julia’s ex-husband and the government chief whip – and then there’s Julia’s feisty former political assistant Chanel (Stephanie Hyam), who was fired for incompetence.

She’s tracked David down and begins to flirt with him.

But is Chanel after more than a date?
