After Katya and Cal spend the night together, Nikolai kidnaps the vulnerable girl as she leaves Cal’s. Then Cal ends up in a dangerous car chase trying to save Katya, only for it to end in a horrific crash!
Cal survives and tries to pull as many people as possible from the multi-car smash. Nikolai dies when the crash scene turns into an inferno but Cal manages to rescue everyone else. Afterwards, Cal suspects he’s over the legal drinking limit. Connie, Charlie and Jacob all cover for him, and bide him some time before he has to make his police statement.
Meanwhile, Lofty makes some healthy New Year’s resolutions. But, as Robyn predicts, he fails to stick to them!
Also this week, Charlie loses his temper with Cal for not coming clean to Ethan, shutting him out, and his abrupt bedside manner with vulnerable patients!
