Pcs Will Fletcher and Dan Casper run into a young woman, Julie Baines (played by Casualty's Georgina Bouzova), who claims that a man named Carl Thomas raped her at an office party the night before. During questioning, Carl insists he did nothing wrong and when CCTV turns up proving that Julie aquired her injuries in a drunken fall, and the team find no evidence that intercourse took place, Carl is released. But when DC Grace Dasari tells DCI Jack Meadows that Carl's fingerprints have been linked to a series of rapes investigated by Jack and DCI Roy Atherton 20 years before, the case is reopened. Jack soon discovers that the hotel one of the victims, prostitute Margi Jackson, was attacked in was run by Annie and Brian Thomas. Can Jack uncover the mystery after all this time? Elsewhere, Pcs Emma Keane, Beth Green and Roger Valentine visit the home of well-known junkies, Lisa and Andy Clarke, and find that Andy has barricaded himself in. It turns out that Lisa has quit drugs and wants Andy to do the same. Roger and Emma then learn that Andy has been cloning credit cards. When Andy admits to everything but insists that Lisa used one of the cards, Emma is forced to arrest Lisa on suspicion of theft but soon realises that Andy confessed out of spite because he knows that, with a suspended sentence, Lisa will end up back on the heroin if she's sent to prison. Determined not to see another woman manipulated by her partner, Emma takes matters into her own hands...
