Zara visits her dad Jed and is persuaded to help him with the litter-picking in the park. Jed notices a change in her and hints heavily that it is time she made him a granddad. Eventually, she admits she is suffering from the early menopause like her mother. Jed sympathises, but asks if there is any way, Zara admits there is and Jed sends her away to get started on a family... Elaine visits Ed, pleased at his progress, but worried about what will happen to him after he is discharged. Elaine suggests to Heston that Ed stay at hers for a while. Heston tells her no - but later at the hospital she offers Ed her spare room and he gratefully accepts. Imogen is moping after her argument with Ryan. Jack notices and when he asks how she lost Ryan his job, she manages to lie convincingly. Later, she hears Jack planning a night out and decides to pick up the phone and apologise to Ryan.
