Connie Vs. Ciaran
Clinical lead Connie Beauchamp is in fighting form when ruthless trouble-shooter Ciaran Coulson turns up to assess the failing emergency department this week. Appointed by hospital CEO Henrik Hanssen, Ciaran (Indian Summers star Rick Warden) has three months to turn the ED around and isn’t interested in making friends along the way…
Ciaran begins his reign by mocking Connie in front of her medical staff before implementing a Rapid Assessment and Treatment System, which involves treating patients from waiting ambulances at the ED entrance. Connie gives Ciaran a cold reception but appears to follow his instructions. Secretly, however, she’s waiting for the perfect moment to strike back!
Can fragile Connie win a war with cut-throat Ciaran?
Will Jacob fight back?
Meanwhile nurse Jacob Masters arrives late to work having asked the police to check up on his mum Omo (Ellen Thomas) and her sinister carer, Jet (Seroca Davis). The police sadly can’t help and Jacob’s left feeling frustrated and dejected. Unfortunately the first person he runs into is Ciaran throwing his weight around at the ED entrance!
When push comes to shove, can Jacob control his temper?
