Lily is critical of Ethan’s distracted state, until she later learns his ill mother has died that day. Nurse Jamie, meanwhile, is convinced Lily fancies the new doctor.
Charlie comes to the rescue when a familiar face turns up at the ED – pregnant heroine addict Karen, who he encouraged go on the straight and narrow previously, desperately needs his help again.
