She’s trying to work out why little girl Astrid Trappett doesn’t want to go to school, and also attempting to find childcare for her own son, James Henry (you’ll be surprised to learn Martin isn’t helping to win over the staff at Portwenn Tots).
Plus there’s a new visitor to the village, John (Art Malik), who is unaware he has a shocking connection to Ruth… will she reveal it?
The usual mix of hilarity, drama and absolute charm makes for a wonderful hour in front of the box.
