Doctors spoilers: Ruhma Carter has a surprise offer for Laura and Russell Wade
Ruhma still feels frustrated Laura and Russell have got themselves into debt paying for IVF treatment. So she makes the couple an unexpected offer
Surgery midwife Ruhma Carter recently met couple Laura and Russell Wade, who are desperate to have a baby but are struggling to pay for the expensive IVF treatment to fulfil their dream.
When Laura returns to The Mill, worried about some bleeding and wondering if she could now be pregnant, Ruhma is alarmed to hear how Laura and Russell are getting themselves into debt to pay for the private IVF treatment at a clinic, which isn't readily available through the NHS.
Determined to find a way to help the couple, Ruhma unexpectedly offers them some money to pay off their loan. Will a surprised Laura accept?
Meanwhile, Zara Carmichael continues to cover up the fact her husband Daniel Granger has angrily walked out on her.
However, as surgery practice manager Mrs Tembe continues to hassle Zara about Daniel's whereabouts since she needs the doctor's signature for some paperwork, will Zara be forced to confess what's really going on?
Elsewhere, Karen Hollins stumbles onto some possibly gruesome goings-on, when she visits Ronnie Carcoran, a man with learning difficulties, and discovers Ronnie has been fending for himself since his mum and dog are both now "gone".
But when Karen sees the hole Ronnie has been digging in the garden and notices an unpleasant smell coming from behind a locked door in the house, Karen decides to call the police. What is going on?
