Doctors spoilers: Will angry Al stop Eve and Ray's wedding plans?
Al is horrified at the thought of his mum Eve marrying "conman" Ray on Doctors. So he comes up with a plan to stop the wedding going ahead...
In yesterday's episode of Doctors, Al Haskey's (played by Ian Midlane) mum Eve (Rachel Bell) suddenly forgot who her boyfriend Ray Hopkins (Bruce Alexander) was. So she decided to finally come clean and tell Ray she has dementia and is in no place to be having a relationship.
However, Eve's confession didn't have quite the effect on Ray that Al was thinking. Instead of running a mile, Ray got down on bended knee and popped the question to Eve instead!
Eve has agreed to marry Ray, which is Al's worst nightmare since he's still convinced Ray is a conman out to take advantage of Eve's vulnerable state, perhaps even more now he knows she has dementia.
Angry Al is determined to shutdown Eve and Ray's wedding plans and ready to use his power of attorney to burst their bubble over lunch at the Icon and send Ray packing!
However, Al's surgery colleague Ayesha Lee (Laura Rollins) is worried the grumpy doctor will fallout with his mum again if he meddles in her happiness like this. So Ayesha decides to invite herself along for the family lunch and stop Al from doing/saying something he will later regret.
But when Eve and Ray announce they want to get married as soon as possible, how will Al react?
Elsewhere in Letherbridge, Zara Carmichael (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh) is alarmed when her estranged husband Daniel Granger (Matthew Chambers) reveals he wants to tell their young son Joe about his new relationship with Becky Clarke (Ali Bastian).
However, Zara is worried how Joe will react, since he's still holding out hope that Daniel and Zara will get back together again.
Will Zara agree to get on board and help Daniel break the big news to Joe?
Meanwhile, surgery receptionist Valerie Pitman (Sarah Moyle) arrives for a haircut at a local salon - but instead finds herself caught in the middle of hairstylists Kurt Jennison (Chris Hannon) and Trisha Jennison's (Vanessa Hehir) relationship drama.
Valerie discovers the pair have "consciously uncoupled" and are now living together as friends. But Trisha is distracted by the fact Kurt wants her advice about his new girlfriend Lydia Marquez (Carla Harrison-Hodge) and accidentally snips poor Valerie's ear with her scissors, leading to an unexpected hospital dash!
Doctors continues weekdays at 1:45pm on BBC One
