Liam accidentally smashes Leah's project and Brendan can't control his anger anymore, just as Doug returns - bad timing! Ste is shocked to hear Doug's back in the village. They finally come face to face and Doug seems happier than ever, leaving Ste wondering if he has made the right decision. Phoebe is struggling to be heard in the McQueens. When she is suspended from college, she tries to hide it from the family but John Paul finds out and offers to tutor her. Back at the McQueens, there's another cat out of the bag when Jacqui is left reeling after she discovers her Mum's in £7,000 worth of debt. Elsewhere, Mitzeee pushes Brendan on his past, and at Chez Chez an argument with Mitzeee leads to a shock confession from him about his childhood abuse. With the truth laying heavy on Jen's conscious, can she bring herself to expose it and risk her career?

Patrick McLennan

Patrick McLennan is a London-based journalist and documentary maker who has worked as a writer, sub-editor, digital editor and TV producer in the UK and New Zealand. His CV includes spells as a news producer at the BBC and TVNZ, as well as web editor for Time Inc UK. He has produced TV news and entertainment features on personalities as diverse as Nick Cave, Tom Hardy, Clive James, Jodie Marsh and Kevin Bacon and he co-produced and directed The Ponds, which has screened in UK cinemas, BBC Four and is currently available on Netflix. 

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
