Dragons' Den - BBC2
Entrepreneurs Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Tej Lalvani and Jenny Campbell assess more unusual business ideas
Entrepreneurs Deborah Meaden, Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, Tej Lalvani and Jenny Campbell assess more unusual business ideasOne of the pleasures of Dragons’ Den is seeing Peter Jones taking down entrepreneurs who lack respect.
Today it’s Ziv, who pitches a product to protect kids from pollution.
'There’s something about you that is just horrible,’ says Peter. ‘Your attitude and demeanour are really off-putting.’
Even worse, Ziv commits the cardinal sin of having his hands in his pockets.
Other fledgling businesses braving the Den include a musical gift service that prompts Tej Lalvani to give the other Dragons a rendition of Oasis’ Wonderwall.
But, as host Evan Davis would say, will he be pitch-perfect?
Meanwhile, TV Times caught up with Dragon Deborah Meaden after filming, who told us about her first business venture:
'My first paying job was doing pony rides on Minehead seafront. I didn’t get paid a lot, but I was allowed to ride the ponies back to the stables!
'I bought my own pony, to my parents’ dismay, when I was about 11,' she reveals. 'They’d said, "If you want one you have to buy it and look after it", in the hope that I’d never save up the money.
'He was a fat little Welsh mountain pony called Apollo and to me he was an absolute dream!'
