For four years ITV aired The Durrells on Sunday evenings, delighting with tales of love, family and animals on 1930s Corfu.
Last week the fictional version of this real family waved goodbye to Greece.
But what happened to mum Louisa (Keeley Hawes) and children Lawrence, Leslie, Margo and Gerry in real life?
“Louisa had quite enough excitement in the Mediterranean,” Keeley told TV Times, "and opted for somewhere secure and familiar – the polite suburbs of Bournemouth, a world of twitching net curtains, sensible knitwear and fog!
"After the sun and freedom of Corfu, it must have felt like waking up with a hangover."
This affectionate one-off documentary, presented by Keeley, delves into rare archive footage and contains interviews with everyone from Sir David Attenborough to Princess Anne!
