*First episode, 7.30pm* Eileen realises that she’ll have to give Holly back to Emma and if she doesn’t give her up voluntarily, the baby will be taken away from her anyway. A depressed Eileen packs up Holly’s belongings and refuses to listen to Violet and Sean’s words of sympathy. Gail pays Eileen a visit to talk about Jason moving in at the Platt’s and she’s stunned to realise that Eileen is planning to run away with Holly, not give her up. Ken and Deirdre are still at each others’ throats following Tracy’s trial and when Claire calls round with worries that she lost Tracy the trial, Ken can’t stand the lies any longer. Ken tells Claire that Tracy confessed her guilt to Deirdre and she was using Claire all along. Deirdre is horrified that Ken has betrayed their daughter. Paul realises that the factory staff are suspicious of the Connors in the wake of Kasia’s death and he announces that he’ll be organising a collection for Kasia’s family. But his plan to deflect attention from the gossip falls flat and the workers are still far from happy. Also, Jerry asks Gail and Claire if he can put a ‘shed’ in the garden and they’re happy to agree. *Second episode, 8.30pm* Eileen defends her decision to leave with Holly, but Gail is horrified. She hurries to the builders yard to tell Jason what Eileen is planning and begs him to come home and stop her before it’s too late. Jason rushes home and confronts Eileen and tells her that it will look like she’s abducting Holly. Eileen is defensive, but Jason finally makes her see sense. Sally and Hayley join forces to confront the Connors about Kasia’s death, but Paul refuses to be intimidated by them. He fobs them off by saying that their constant questions are stirring trouble at the factory and the girls realise that the subject is closed and there’s little that they can do. Gail and Claire are horrified when Jerry’s ‘shed’ turns out to be more like a chalet and they demand to know what Jerry is up to. Jerry keeps his plans under his hat but it’s clear that he’ll be keeping more than garden tools in there – it’s a spare room for Darryl! Also, Liz is flattered when Derek turns up at the Rovers and turns on the charm. Liz can’t resist when he suggests they have a hotel rendezvous.
