Emmerdale spoilers: SPY! David Metcalfe ropes in Ryan to help him track Maya and Jacob
David Metcalfe enlists the help of Ryan Stocks to spy on Jacob and Maya. But what is David about to discover?
David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) is reeling from the recent discovery that his girlfriend Maya Stepney (Louisa Clein) and teenage son Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Platt) have been having an affair.
Twisted teacher Maya is now planning to flee the country with Jacob so that she can start a new life far away from Emmerdale with her young lover.
However David has other ideas. Jacob has completely withdrawn from him and closed down and is refusing to tell his dad what’s going on while Maya herself, has done a disappearing act.
Desperate to protect his son, David has decided he needs to spy on the pair of them so he enlists the help of tech-whizz Ryan Stocks (James Moore).
Although Ryan is reluctant at first, David persuades him that he needs some software put on Jacob’s laptop so that he can see what he’s up to with his GCSEs underway.
After some convincing, Ryan eventually agrees to help David out unaware that David is actually planning to monitor any emails that Jacob receives from Maya.
Sure enough, later on and with the spying technology up and working, Jacob heads off to Leyla’s house to revise but as soon as he is left alone he rummages through drawers to locate Maya’s hidden passport and money. He then messages Maya to say that everything is sorted unaware that David is watching all communication.
What will David’s next move be now he knows what Jacob and Maya are planning?
Elsewhere Megan Macey (Gaynor Faye) is stunned when Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) tells her that he is keeping their daughter Eliza after discovering that it was Megan who caused the crash that injured Pollard.
