Xavier and Hugo's fight has left a trail of destruction at Martha's. Xavier accuses Hugo of persuading him to split up with Freya so he could have her instead. Hugo insists she leapt on him. Freya is pleased to have caused such havoc and Xavier seems keener on her than ever. Xavier admits to Ruby that he's confused over his feelings for Freya, but Ruby wants to give it another chance. It's when Xavier stands Ruby up and she finds him with Freya that is becomes clear the two are back on. Roman is upset at the mess Xavier caused at Martha's and offers Xavier a job at The Diner to get him back on the straight and narrow. Hugo is suspicious and admits to Martha that he thinks Roman is still in love with her. Martha is stunned - has Roman supported her just to get closer to her? Nicole is lonely and organises a dinner party for her, Geoff, Belle and Aden. Belle and Aden reluctantly accept as they both start their new jobs the next day. It's a disaster - Nicole burns the dinner and lets slip that Aden turned down his uni offer for Belle. An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
