Audrey and Bill are excited about their plans to celebrate Gail’s 50th birthday and Audrey enlists David’s help to hang a huge 50th birthday banner up for everyone to see. Gail, however, is horrified when she sees the banner and reminds Audrey that she’s 49, not 50! Eileen is determined not to give Holly back to Emma, despite Jason's shock departure from the Grimshaw’s, but she’s horrified to discover that Jason has moved in with the Platts. Jason accuses Eileen of being selfish and putting her own needs above Holly’s. Claire agrees with Jason and gently suggests to Eileen that perhaps Emma was suffering from post natal depression when she dumped her baby and deserves a second chance. There’s dissent at the factory as the workers still aren’t convinced about the Connors’ explanation of the events surrounding Kasia’s death. When they see Carla and Paul have a laugh after a shopping trip, they’re horrified by their disrespectful behaviour. Also, Liam is determined to convince Leanne to go on a dinner date.
