Gail is questioned by the police!
Gail's questioned by the police and they realise that her version of events just doesn't add up, and coupled with the insurance policy she's starting to look like a prime suspect. Following Tina's revelation about the birthday text the gossip on the street has already started, when DC Glynn and DS Carr arrive to take Gail to the station. Peter's in a foul mood as he tries to contact George, despite Leanne insisting that George phoned earlier and said they were flying back today. Eventually, George phones to say that they have arrived home, but as Peter sets off to collect Simon, Leanne is left with the lingering doubt that Peter isn't as well as he claims. Steve is still struggling to get through to Becky. Worried, Liz tries to help and confides in Becky about the baby daughter she lost after a day, admitting that such tragedies can sometimes make a couple stronger. Becky's left wondering. Also; Teresa starts a cleaning job at Underworld; Norris refuses to celebrate his 70th birthday; Dev plays happy families with Sunita. *Second episode, 8.30pm* The police tell a shocked and confused Gail that Rick wasn't involved in Joe's death. As she's asked to recount her story again, the police show her Joe's insurance document bearing her signature. Although she's insists it's a forgery and can't work out where its come from, it suddenly dawns on her that she's under suspicion of murder. Peter's desperate to see Simon and is in a bad way, but when he arrives George refuses to let him in claiming Simon's asleep. Furious, Peter begins to lose it with George and Leanne is forced to call Ken for backup. But Peter is teetering on the edge. Becky has been pondering her situation and knows she is pushing Steve away. She finally decides to act on Liz's words and turning to Steve allows him to comfort her. Meanwhile, Hayley reassures her that she could still be a mother, as now only her demons are holding her back. Also; Trevor mistakes Carla for Underworld's cleaner and invites her out for a drink.
