Disaster strikes when Cyd and Dixie visit a house where a couple, Tony and Carly, have been bitten by a poisonous snake. As Cyd tries to protect Dixie from the reptile, she gets bitten herself. Dixie calls Greg and Josh for help, and Cyd asks her to get a photo of the snake so that the right anti-venom can be used. Meanwhile, Stitch finds that his cocaine drawer has been tampered with and confronts Guppy. A sleep-deprived Guppy insists that he didn’t touch it and Stitch warns him to stay away from coke. But as Stitch battles to save Carly, Guppy is struggling and goes to Stitch's office and takes some of the coke. After Carly dies, Stitch turns his attentions to Cyd. When Guppy refuses to help with a procedure, Stitch realises that Guppy has taken the coke, and is furious. Stitch confronts Guppy about operating on drugs, and Guppy promises it won't happen again. But Stitch isn't convinced... Cyd starts to deteriorate and, fearing the worst, Dixie tells Cyd she loves her just as the right anti-venom is found to save her. As a recovering Cyd is wheeled out of resus, she tells Dixie that she heard what she said and rejects her, leaving Dixie devastated. Also, Abs becomes involved with a prisoner's affairs and later regrets his actions.
