Has Becky ruined her adoption chances?
Becky's shaking and a bag of nerves as she and Steve await the adoption panel's verdict. The pressure is getting too much for her and she sneaks outside for a cigarette, where she bemoans the long process with fellow smoker Joan. When she and Steve finally go up against the panel, Becky's heart sinks as she spots Joan! They field the panels questions well, but when Joan brings up Becky's smoking it may be that she's ruined their chances. Nick and Natasha move into Dev's flat as he makes plans for the future. But when he starts asking about the pregnancy Natasha struggles to answer. Panicking she presses Fiz for information about how she's feeling, hoping that she can fob Nick off a while longer. But it's clear he's becoming suspicious. Sally tells Sophie that she's planning a family meal to celebrate her exam results tomorrow. Sophie's clearly annoyed as it means she'll have to miss choir practice and her secret date with Sian. Also, Owen refuses to give Katy's number to Chesney; Owen plans his date with Eileen, but it's clearly more for Liz's benefit then Eileen's. *Second episode, 8.30pm* Steve and Becky try to argue their case and shock soon gives way to fury, as Becky flips forcing Steve to drag her roughly from the room. Outside neither can believe what's happened to their adoption dream and seek clarification from Dawn. Cornered she reveals that it wasn't the smoking that made her worry, but Becky's half-sister Kylie's damning character reference. Later in the pub, Steve tries to reassure Becky, but she blames herself. He knows he needs to stop her going off the rails again. Natasha talks babies with a confused Fiz, as she's taken aback by Natasha's intensity. Back at the flat Nick is surprised when she attempts to seduce him. She's desperate to get pregnant, but tells an unsuspecting Nick that it's all to do with her raging hormones. Sian's not happy when Sophie admits she can't get out of her mum's dinner plans. She accuses a helpless Sophie of choosing her family over her. Also, Chesney spots Katy in the yard. He waits till Owen's out of the way and asks her to be his date to Roy and Hayley's wedding; Dev makes a grab at Aadi when he runs in to the road.
