Holby City spoilers: Ange Goddard is feeling the strain!
Fiery surgeon Ange Goddard is locked in a dispute over whether to let teen patient Holly die. And her dilemma puts her at odds with daughter Chloe...
As teen Holly remains on life support, surgeon Ange Goddard finds herself torn between being a mother and a doctor this week in Holby City.
Ange (Dawn Steele) and her medic daughter Chloe (Amy Lennox) are doing all they can to keep Holly alive but Chloe knows that, even if she’s able to breathe on her own again, she’ll almost certainly be brain-dead.
Chloe’s adamant Holly’s beyond recovery and thinks Ange shouldn’t give mum Ruth and dad Michael false hope. However, as a mum, Ange refuses to railroad them into a decision about ‘giving up’ their child and throws ‘emotional’ Chloe off the case!
As a dad of four, Fletch offers Ange a shoulder to lean on. Ange knows Chloe’s right and Holly’s life support should be switched off – but she tells Fletch she won’t force her ‘opinion’ on Ruth and Michael, who are arguing over what to do!
Frustrated by the day’s events, Ange breaks down in the locker room. Is she prepared for what could be a long road ahead?
Meanwhile, Cameron’s still trying to get himself noticed on Darwin and Xavier’s patience is tested when Dom’s mum Carole insists she has sixth sense. Spooky!
Holby City continues Tuesdays at 8pm on BBC1.
