Joel Dexter squares up to Mercedes McQueen and tells her he knows her terrible secret and he's going to the police!
Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) is reeling after making a shocking discovery yesterday about Mercedes McQueen. In Tuesday’s episode at 6.30 pm (See our TV Guide for full listings) he confronts her with Harry Thompson’s phone he discovered which contains a recording of Mercedes’ bombshell confession.
During the recording Mercedes is heard confessing to Harry, who was subsequently murdered, about causing the hit and run accident that nearly killed Grace Black (Tamara Wall) and also threatening to kill Harry if he reveals the truth!
A horrified Joel tracks Mercedes down and tells her he’s giving her the chance to tell her family the shocking truth first before he goes to the police with the incriminating phone tomorrow.
What will Mercedes decide to do?
Meanwhile Scott Drinkwell (Ross Adams) tells Mitchell Deveraux (Imran Adams) that he doesn’t want to be his dirty little secret any more. Mitchell, who’s in a relationship with Cleo McQueen (Nadine Mulkerrin) pleads with Scott and tells him that he needs Cleo but it’s Scott’s alter-ego, Anita Tinkle, that he really wants.
Elsewhere, Jesse Donovan (Luke Jerdy) presents his brother Liam (Jude Monk McGowan) with the adoption papers for his biological daughter, Iona.
Liam’s sister Grace (Tamara Wall) can see that Liam is putting on a happy front and he confides in her that Iona reminds him of everything that is good in his life, but he’s terrified of failing his little girl.
Plus James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) is wallowing after his recent attack on his son Romeo Quinn (Owen Warner). Romeo has fled the family home and is now squatting at the Maalik’s.
Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donell) is shocked when she finds him hiding away and appalled when he tells her that James hit him and he's too scared to go back home.
Can Peri be a friend to Romeo and help him to get back on his feet?
