Nancy Osborne and her ex husband Darren are left trapped in the collapsing tunnel deep beneath the earth. Will anyone come to their rescue?
Nancy Osborne (Jessica Fox) and her ex-husband Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) fear for their lives tonight in Hollyoaks at 6.30pm (See our TV Guide for full listings).
The pair had ventured down into the hidden tunnels after learning from Walter Deveraux (Trevor A Toussaint) that kids, Ella and Charlie had gone down there to explore. However carnage erupted in yesterday’s episode, when Luke Morgan (Gary Lucy) took the controls of a crane and steel girders were sent smashing onto the ground.
With the weak tunnels now rapidly collapsing around them, Darren and Nancy, realise they are trapped and that no-one else even knows they are down there!
Will anyone come to their rescue before it’s too late? And what has happened to Ella and Charlie? Have they managed to escape or are they also trapped below ground?
Meanwhile with some villagers badly injured, Mercedes McQueen has opened The Dog for people to take refuge in.
Trainee nurse Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell) swings into action to put her nursing skills to good use and help those suffering, but she embarrasses herself in front of Edward Hutchinson (Joe McGann) when she tells him to step aside and he reveals he is actually a surgeon and knows what he’s doing!
Meanwhile it’s supposed to be Harry Thompson’s wake but following the disaster, The Hutch is out of action.
Mercedes tells Diane O’Connor (Alex Fletcher) and her son Finn (Keith Rice) that they can use The Dog for the wake instead but Grace Black (Tamara Wall) is furious to hear Mercedes offering to help out when she still believes it was Harry who caused the car crash that nearly killed her.
In a fit of rage, Grace lashes out and begins ripping up Harry’s funeral flowers until vicar Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas Speed) steps in to stop her. Joel already knows that it WASN’T Harry who caused the crash and that it was in fact Mercedes. Is now the time to reveal the truth to Grace?
Plus no-one is aware that Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) was recently brought back to the village by his captor Breda McQueen but what has happened to him after serial killer Breda was knocked unconscious in a car crash. Did Tony escape from the vehicle or is he still trapped inside?
