Home and Away spoilers: WHO does Dean Thompson catch out at Salt?

Home and Away, Dean Thompson

A mystery arsonist attempts to burn down Salt on Home and Away! But WHO do Dean Thompson and Willow Harris catch commiting the crime?

News soon reaches Dean Thompson (played by Patrick O'Connor) that his sister Mackenzie Booth (Emily Weir) has broken-up with Dean's policeman pal Colby Thorne (Tim Franklin) on Home and Away (1:15pm/6:00pm on Channel 5, see our TV Guide for full listings).

Both Dean and Colby are puzzled as to why Mackenzie ended things. But it seems her mind is made up. It's way too stressful being the girlfriend of a fella with a dangerous job and she's not strong enough to handle worrying if Colby is going to make it home alive each day.

So it looks like Colby is definitely still dumped! And after a beer or three, he drunkenly opens up about his heartbreak, leaving his teenage sister Bella Nixon (Courtney Miller) furious at Mackenzie...

Home and Away, Mackenzie Booth, Dean Thompson

Dean Thompson wasn't happy when his sister Mackenzie Booth first got-together with Colby Thorne on Home and Away. But he couldn't have predicted their relationship would be so short-lived!

Later that night, Dean and his friend Willow Harris (Sarah Roberts) are walking past Salt when they notice movement inside the restaurant.

It's long after closing-time so it can't be Mackenzie.

Sneaking inside, Dean sees a hooded intruder pouring petrol behind the bar, ready to set fire to the place!

But when Dean flicks on the lights, he instantly recognises the intruder. But WHO is it?

Home and Away continues weekdays at 1:15pm and 6:00pm on Channel 5

He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!"
