When Holby CEO Guy offers him a permanent job this week, Jesse’s delighted. But the anaesthetist knows he’ll be in the doghouse with his best mate if he finds out he’s been seeing his daughter Zosia. So, to give himself breathing space, Jesse agrees to give Guy an answer by the end of the day – enough time to ensure Zosia won't spill the beans about their affair!

Jesse soon learns that Zosia's not dealing with their recent split at all well. But when Jesse makes a mistake in theatre that risks paralysing a patient, he offloads his stress onto Zosia and the pair end up kissing! Jesse quickly regrets their moment of passion, so when Zosia lies about an emergency just to get him alone, a livid Jesse tells Zosia it's over for good, which leads a desperate Zosia threatening to tell her dad everything!

At the end of his shift, Jesse sees Guy as planned. But rather than sign a permanent contract, he tells his friend he’s moving on – and then admits to seeing Zosia! Filled with rage at Jesse's betrayal, Guy lashes out and punches Jesse! With the truth out, will Zosia and Guy be able to mend their already fragile relationship?

Meanwhile, having been awarded custody of daughter Emma after ex Jac decided she was an unfit mother and left for Sweden, nurse Jonny is struggling on his first day back at work. Mo congratulates her best friend on his news but is upset to hear that Jonny is planning to move home to Scotland! Concerned about being a single dad, Jonny wants Emma to be surrounded by a loving, caring family. Mo begs Jonny not to go, promising she'll always be there for Emma. Can she persuade Jonny not to leave?

Also, Raf feels wretched about his dysfunctional marriage while having to work harmoniously alongside Harry. When a vulnerable patient poses as a threat to Amy, Raf instinctively goes to save her, which stirs up his true feelings. Later, Raf decides that, whether Amy's baby is his or not, he wants them to be together.
