Irene's quizzed by Angelo
Irene and the policeman are brought into hospital. Rachel discovers Irene's been drinking. Everyone hears that Irene shot a policeman, and Lou's missing. Belle accompanies Alf to the police station, where he supports Irene during her interview with Angelo. Irene tells her story... Irene explains that she and Lou heard about Belle in rehab and decided to sail home. She took some painkillers for a headache, and went to bed. A noise briefly woke her, but she went back to sleep. The next day, Lou was gone. Irene had no idea how to work the boat radio, let alone sail. She started drinking, paranoid that whoever took Lou would come after her, and grabbed Lou's gun for protection. She shot the policeman by accident. Angelo interrogates Irene about her violent history with alcohol. When Belle finds out that Angelo's charging Irene with GBH and she's a suspect in Lou's disappearance, she slaps Angelo, and he throws her in the cell with Irene. Earlier, Liam asks Belle to explain to his wife that they are not having an affair, but before Belle can answer, she hears about Irene. Aden catches Alf, Kirsty, and Leah with a newspaper article: Belle and Liam pictured with the headline 'Rehab Romance'. Liam begs Belle to speak to his wife. *Showing on RTE One, Tuesday June 2* Click here to watch whatsontv.co.uk's weekly soaps video preview, Soap Scoop
