Max and OB nervously wait to see if Clare will retract her statement to social services, but worry when Clare arrives at the offices and nastily tells them she knows exactly what she's going to say. Will Tom be coming home? Louise is still deeply troubled about the prospect of Warren going to prison for something she might have done and pays him a visit in jail. She confesses she may have pushed Clare, but Warren tells her she's incapable of such a violent act, and it was more likely to have been one of Clare's many enemies. Still unconvinced, Louise later tries to reassure a defiant Clare that Warren's not guilty. In serious financial trouble, Jessica is struggling to buy food and is even tempted to eat Zak's leftovers from the bin. Refusing to waste her money on beer, she explains her dire cash flow issues to Zak and Gilly. Leaving Gilly to comfort Jessica, Zak heads down the pub, where he reveals to a surprised Darren that Zoe fancies him. Darren is flattered but feels guilty at how hurt Zak is.
