As a middle-aged divorcee, Meryl Streep's love life is certainly complicated.

She's having an affair with her married ex-husband (Alec Baldwin), whose problems with his young wife (Lake Bell) have him hankering after the old days.At the same time, Streep is also being wooed by shy, smitten architect Steve Martin.

This clever romcom rarely puts a foot wrong. Streep and Baldwin are appealing and charming.

With these scene-stealers relishing their roles, the rest of the cast gets left behind but, no matter, because everyone has a ball with writer-director Nancy Meyers' delightful script.
