It's the day of Jack's funeral
The great and the good of Weatherfield gather to say a tearful farewell to one of their own at Jack's funeral. A devastated Tyrone makes a heartfelt and emotional speech about the man he came to look upon as his own father and his words resonate with the whole congregation. The situation makes Ashley and Claire reflect on their relationship, and they agree that life is too short and decide to give their marriage another go. Then Tyrone surprises Molly with a suggestion. Carla knows she can make things hard for Peter now she has the knowledge of Nick and Leanne's secret tryst in her grasp. She asks Peter to come round and discuss her drink driving charge, but he's shocked by what he finds when he arrives at the flat. Charlotte visits John claiming that she's terrified by the letters they are both receiving. Left along in the house she spots the perfect way to step up her reign of terror. Also, a shocked Eddie and Anna visit Gary in hospital, and Anna struggles to cope; Owen isn't impressed that Jim spent the night at the Rovers; Fiz finds Katy and Chesney in a state of undress. An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
