A conversation between Rob and Jack leads Jack to make amends with his sister. After returning from a training course, Karen and Imogen immediately tell Rob what Jack has been up to. A furious Rob decides to take Jack fishing where he finally gets him to open up about his steroid abuse. Elsewhere, Ruth was hoping to have escaped her mum but no such luck when Connie arrives at the Campus. Despite taking the hint and popping out for a bit Connie comes back saying she's made a lunch reservation which makes Ruth snap. Elaine notices she is flustered and tells her if she ever wants to talk she's there. Later that day, Zara finds herself caught in the middle as a teacher tries to juggle the two women in his life, and she finally tells Julia that she would like to become a partner.
