Having helped Nicole Brady flee Holby last week, AAU nurse Cara is afraid when Nicole's gangster husband Sean turns up wanting to know where she is. When he suspects Cara knows more than she's letting on, he warns he'll be back that afternoon – and he expects to see his wife! Desperate, Cara contacts her husband Jed, the undercover cop who's after Sean. Jed refuses to put his case in jeopardy, however, and is angry to discover Cara's colleague Raf knows his true identity. Later, as Raf makes a remark that Jed fears may blow his cover, Jed attacks him! Feeling responsible, Cara vows to stay away from Raf to keep him safe. But this is the last thing Raf wants, as it seems his feelings for Cara are growing stronger…
Meanwhile, with Brett on the mend, Mo's forced to deal with the reality that she'll soon have to give William up. Unable to control this situation, Mo overcompensates professionally by giving an incurable patient false hope.
