Joanna Lumley's Postcards
Joanna's reminiscences come to an end with a look back at her time exploring the River Nile
Joanna's reminiscences come to an end with a look back at her time exploring the River Nile.
In 2010, she journeyed up the mighty African river from the sea to its source for a four-part ITV series called, you guessed it, Joanna Lumley's Nile.
Tonight, she recalls her visit to the second source of the Nile, the Blue Nile, which begins at Lake Tana in Ethiopia, where she samples the country's national dish and attends a service at one of the many monasteries found on islands in the lake.
She then goes on safari in Uganda, before trekking through dense undergrowth to reach the source of the White Nile in Rwanda.
