Joey and Lauren crash Derek's car!
Joey pushes Alice to return to their mum's, reminding her how violent Derek can be. Alice is unsure, but eventually agrees to pack up. When Joey confesses to Lauren that he injured himself to implicate Derek she's shocked. Lauren is rattled when Derek reveals he saw her kissing Joey and tells her to meet him at the car lot in an hour. Lauren fears that if Max finds out about her relationship with Joey they will be separated. She and Joey agree to do a runner. Joey steals Derek's beloved car. To add insult to injury Joey shouts abuse at a furious Derek as they drive past him. Lauren is driving and is distracted as they playfully squabble over what to have on the radio. Taking her eyes off the road, they have to swerve to miss a parked car and slam straight into a shop... Tanya's left to explain to a stunned Ava why she didn't identify herself before, while Cora flees the house. An upset Cora reveals to Patrick that she was forced to give up Ava by her parents when Ava's dad deserted her while she was pregnant. Cora decides to face Ava, but is crushed when Ava reveals she isn't interested in getting to know her...

An entertainment writer with a diverse taste in TV and film, he lists Seinfeld, The Sopranos, The Chase, The Thick of It and Detectorists among his favourite shows, but steers well clear of most sci-fi.
