It’s a sad for the ladies of Holby City, as sexy surgeon Joseph Byrne quits his job and moves to the country. Following his recent run of bad luck and estranged wife Faye’s departure to France, Joseph has time to reassess the important things in his life and decides to prioritise son Harry above the promise of a promotion. Instead of taking the job, Joseph plots a move to the Lake District. But before he leaves the hospital, Joseph attempts an even happier ending by asking on/off girlfriend Jac to join him. However, knowing she’ll always play second fiddle to Faye’s son, Jac tearfully declines the offer and waves Joseph off into the sunset. Elsewhere, Frieda learns she’s being lined up for redundancy, but Penny plots to get her to train as a doctor. Sacha desperately attempts to get Chrissie back onside.
