Kim goes into labour, Steph goes into meltdown
Art teacher Kim goes into labour and Deputy Head Chris has trouble keeping his mind on the job at Waterloo Road... When Chris first arrived at the school he was attracted to Kim, but was quickly turned off by her attraction to recently departed mad Max, father of her baby. Then he had a one-night stand with Head Teacher Rachel, who kindly but clearly stated she didn’t want to pursue the subject. Yes, the women in his life have been more of a challenge than the students – except, perhaps, Finn, who continues to be top of the class for troublemakers. Finn and Kim combine to give Chris a very difficult day... Chris goes with Kim on a school trip to an art gallery, where Finn convinces a besotted Amy to add her own touches to a very valuable painting on display. Then Chris’s girlfriend, Anna, turns up and Kim is hit by feelings of jealousy... and pain. Kim collapses and Chris rushes her to hospital, where her baby boy is delivered by emergency Caesarean. Poor Chris... Still, his dad Ollie might help him drown his sorrows, as he’s put his foot in it with new love, French teacher Steph. She had high hopes for her future with Ollie, but he spoils it all by saying something stupid – and it’s not ‘I love you’!
