Having to face Jayne Grayson following the medicine mix-up when she was drunk on the ward, Kyla blames Faye for the debacle. When Faye and Kyla have an emotionally charged fight on the ward, resulting in Kyla crashing to the floor with a bottle of booze, she realises she needs help. When Sam receives an anonymous card from the STI clinic and Maddy pretends she has Chlamydia, he takes a test and is relieved when his results come back negative. Maddy eventually tells him the truth, but notices Sam's results show a high lymphocyte count and orders him to have it checked out. New locum Stuart gets off to a bad start with Chrissie by removing all her charity boxes from the ward and putting a private patient in a side room. But he manages to redeem himself by presenting Chrissie with a £500 cheque for a new scanner on behalf of her fundraising initiative.
