Kyle and Amy are on rocky ground but as they work on the post-fire clean-up, things start to heat up. Finally, their attraction for one another reaches boiling point and passion consumes them.
Daniel discovers Paul intends to create a housing estate after the school becomes another Eden Hills Grammar campus but Paul denies it. Disappointed, Daniel sends his uncle's confidential files on Project Freestyle to the West Waratah Star. The proverbial hits the fan the next day but when Paul receives death threats Daniel feels guilty. Later, Paul has a shocking proposition for Aaron but Nate warns him he's playing with fire.
Susan remains positive until she discovers that students are wagging. This, coupled with Paul's betrayal hits hard, and she comes to the agonising conclusion that her beloved Erinsborough High is doomed. However, a surprise visit gives her new hope.
