*First episode* Leanne is upset when she tentatively asks Carla whether she's still up for being her partner in the Italian restaurant and an insulted Carla knocks her back in no uncertain terms. Roger tries to boost Leanne's spirits and suggests that she buy the restaurant on her own. Leanne agrees that he's right and resolves to forge ahead with her business plan without Carla. Blanche kicks off her wake at the Rovers and insists that it's her way of celebrating a life lived to the full. Ken is suspicious about what Blanche is up to and suspects that she may be terminally ill and has organised her wake as a goodbye. But Blanche is quick to knock his suspicions on the head. Roy worries that Hayley is working too hard trying to run the factory on her own and he's sure that the staff at Underworld are taking advantage of her. Sally tells Hayley that she should be more aloof if she wants to gain respect with the factory staff, but Hayley can't find it in her to be the hard-nosed boss. Also, Steve gets some flowers and is disappointed that they're from Liz, not Michelle. *Second episode, 8.30pm* Leanne is £10k short of the agreed price for the Italian restaurant and Janice thinks she should drop the idea, but Leanne won't be beaten. Leanne has a word with the owner, Luca, and convinces him to let her pay the final amount in instalments. Janice is horrified when Leanne tells her that she's going to London to do some escort work to raise the cash and she follows her to the coach station to stop her. Blanche's wake turns out to be a bit of a damp squib when hardly anyone turns up and those that are there don't have a good word to say about her. Blanche is horrified and she vows to change her ways but only succeeds in freaking out Chesney, Vera and Leanne when she tries to be nice to them! Hayley decides to reinstate Joanne at the factory to get the orders through, but she's miffed when Sally disapproves of her her decision. Fiz plays a practical joke on Hayley and she assumes that the prank was Sally's work and has a go at her but she's embarrassed when Fiz owns up. Also, Violet makes an appointment to see the doctor to discuss her fertility.
