TV's most talked-about show is back as a new Love Island posse of sexy singletons line up for a Summer of sun, sea and skimpy outfits
Get ready for two months of sun, sea and exclamations of "I’ve got a text!" as reality TV hit Love Island bursts back onto our screens.
Caroline Flack returns as host as a new bunch of sexy singletons head off to a luxury villa on the island of Majorca on a quest to find true love.
"It’s exciting," Caroline told TV Times. "When I get together with the production team, it’s like, ‘Here we go again!’
"Each year, we know we’ve got to step things up. And when it comes to this year’s islanders, we really have… There’s already a buzz about this series!"
But which couple will follow last year’s winners Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer to be crowned Love Island champs 2019? And does Caroline have any advice to offer the islanders?
"Well, it’s never love advice, as I don’t think I’m qualified to give that," she laughs.
"It tends to be about how to deal with life after Love Island and how to handle things like Twitter and Instagram. I always tell them, ‘Don’t answer back.’ "
The future of Love Island has been called into question recently in light of tragic events away from the cameras.
But as long as it keeps themes of love and friendship at its core, it should be a ratings winner for the forseeable future.
