Mel is pleased that her dad is recovering and decides to have a night out with Abi. After a few drinks the girls head off, but they spot a gang of girls having a violent row. Mel wants to intervene, but Abi tells her they're off duty and should call the police. Mel can't resist and wades in. Abi is dragged into the fight and Mel is horrified when Abi takes a beating. Meanwhile, Jerry is devastated by Teresa's revelation about the poisoning, but he can't bring himself to tell the kids. Darryl simply assumes that Teresa has been up to her old tricks when Jerry reveals that he never wants to see her again. Sean ignores Marcus's calls and drowns his sorrows in the Rovers. Sean ends up going back to Liam's for an impromptu party and he wonders if it's time to move on. Sean sets his sights on Tom and decides to make a move when Tom tells him he's a free agent. Sean asks Tom if he can kiss him but is left disappointed when Tom tells him that he's not into men. Also, Liam and Tom need a £50k investment to get the Ladsrags deal off the ground.
