A desperate Mick Carter gets a dangerous offer from gangster Aidan!
Mick and Linda Carter’s hopes for a new job are dashed and when Aidan makes Mick a very tempting – but dangerous – offer.
Mick and Linda head out to interview to run a pub. Despite a rather awkward start, they get offered the job. Initially delighted, when they realise the job isn’t what they first thought, they are left with a dilemma. Mick confesses to Shirley that if they take the job, they won’t be able to bring the rest of the family. A thoughtful Shirley suggests that they take the opportunity for the sake of Ollie. But when Aidan turns up and dangles another carrot in front of Mick about earning some easy money, will Mick be persuaded?
Jack is at the end of his tether with Max, who is causing trouble at the house. After arranging for Oscar to visit, Jack tells Max to pull himself together. When Abi gives Max the cold shoulder, Max begs forgiveness and manages to talk her into helping him arrange a cake for Oscar’s birthday. After Denise finds out about Oscar’s visit, however, she’s determined to interfere. Will the visit happen after all?
Ian tries to cheer up Kathy by suggesting they decorate a Christmas tree for Louie. Although putting a brave face on it, Kathy is clearly struggling. Worried about his mum, Ian approaches Phil and asks him to get rid of Wilmott Brown once and for all.
