Nicola is shaken to learn that Steve has gone missing after complaining of stomach pain and is overwhelmed by guilt as it dawns on her that she may have killed him. Her panic increases as she desperately tries to cover her tracks, disposing of the leftover lasagne. Miranda and Bridget worry that Steve's absence was down to them and he is missing because they pushed him away. Bridget and Zeke find Steve collapsed and in a serious condition in the gym. They call an ambulance and Steve is rushed to hospital. Meanwhile, Toadie gets suspicious of Nicola's erratic behaviour and Bridget's ears prick up when Karl mentions that Steve could have accidentally ingested something highly toxic. Bridget and Toadie convince Miranda to consider that her sister could be responsible for Steve's illness, and she goes to investigate. At first it seems Miranda might swallow Nicola's lies yet again but in the end Nicola gives herself away and Miranda is forced to face the truth about her sister. Also, Lou's plan to keep Sienna in Erinsborough by setting her up with Logan backfires when love-struck Logan agrees to follow Sienna to Italy.
