Comedian Romesh Ranganathan’s idea of a good holiday is lying on a beach.
‘My capacity to do absolutely nothing is breath-taking,’ he says.
So his series, visiting countries most tourists avoid – Albania, Ethiopia and, in tonight’s opener, Haiti – came as a bit of a jolt.
On the island ravaged by an earthquake in 2010, Romesh immerses himself in the culture and brings his wry commentary on proceedings, but is visibly terrified when he attends a voodoo ceremony involving chickens and drums…
