Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing - BBC2
Paul and Bob fish for grayling on the stunning River Ure in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales as they wind up the second series of Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing
It’s not often that you see open-heart surgery being demonstrated on a table in a pub.
But that’s exactly what happens this week in the last episode of Mortimer & Whitehouse: Gone Fishing, while visiting Yorkshire to fish for grayling in the River Ure, local lad Bob Mortimer meets the surgeon who performed – and now re-enacts – his triple-bypass operation.
Elsewhere, there’s a night in spent playing an angling board game, an exchange of presents, and some sound, cookery-related advice from Gone Fishing’s resident chef, Bob: ‘If you’re feeling defeat, reach for the meat!’
