Neighbours spoilers: Is this the end for Amy and Gary?

Neighbours, Amy Williams, Gary Canning

It's time for Gary to face the heartbreaking truth that his fiance Amy is still in love with her ex-boyfriend, and his son, Kyle, on Neighbours...

As the Live @ Lassiters Music Festival continues on Neighbours, Kyle Canning (played by Chris Milligan) notices how disappointed his ex-girlfriend Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond) is when she discovers she'll have to miss a performance from band Hanson so she can attend a wedding meeting with fiance Gary Canning (Damien Richardson).

Despite Kyle and Amy's agreement to put their own romantic feelings aside, Gary senses more than ever his son and his fiancee are still madly in love.

And when Gary discovers Kyle has thoughtfully arranged a private performance from Hanson for Amy at Harold's Cafe, he decides the time has come to step aside and let Kyle and Amy reunite. Poor Gary!

Watch out for the appearance from singing brothers Isaac, Taylor and Zac (aka Hanson of MMMBop fame!) as they perform one of Amy's favourite songs.

Elsewhere in Erinsborough, Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher) is furious with Bea Nilsson (Bonnie Anderson) and boyfriend Finn Kelly (Rob Mills) over all the drama involving Finn's obsessed stalker Alfie Sutton... which has now landed Karl's wife Susan (Jackie Woodburne) in hospital.

Karl drops a SHOCK ultimatum on Finn. If he wants to carry on living at the Kennedy house, he must tell the police everything that happened with Alfie, even if it means jeopardising his probation and future freedom...

And Yashi Rebecchi (Olivia Junkeer) is mortified after her accidental attack on neighbour Susan, who is recovering in hospital.

The incident leads Yashvi to make a BIG confession to parents Shane and Dipi (Nicholas Coghlan and Sharon Johal). But how will they react when they hear about her involvement with the Dark Tours and awful Alfie?

Neighbours continues weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
