They were going to wait until they had their stolen money back from con artist Andrea. But Toadie and Sonya decide the time is right to have another baby!

Toadie and his wife Sonya have had big money troubles since con artist Andrea Somers - pretending to be Toadie's late wife Dee Bliss - ran off with $100,000 of their money last year.

So the couple have put their plans on hold to have another child, until they can track down Andrea and get their money back. However, even with Paul Robinson's team on the case, it doesn't look like Andrea will be brought to justice any time soon. So when the couple hear there is an information day for the hospital's fertility clinic, they wonder if they are putting their lives needlessly on hold, and decide it's time to extend the Rebecchi family by one more!

Elsewhere, Chloe uses her flirty charms to see what she can find out about Ned's return to Erinsborough, and whether ex-girlfriend Elly somehow fits into the picture. Ned continues to claim he's back because his tattoo business was a failure on the Gold Coast. But once on is own, Ned makes a mystery phone call...

Neighbours continues weekdays at 1:45pm and 5:30pm on Channel 5

Writer

Simon has long been a fan of soap operas, and especially loves OVER-THE-TOP plots involving evil twins, hair-pulling catfights and natural disasters. Anyone remember the Sunset Beach earthquake/tidal wave? Or when Krystle Carrington got locked in the attic and replaced by look-a-like Rita in Dynasty?!

Simon has written for a variety of TV and childrens’ magazines/websites including Inside Soap, Nickelodeon, What’s On TV, Radio Times, Metro, Girl Talk, Disney Girl, Toxic! and Digital Spy. He has reported LIVE from the red carpet at The British Soap Awards interviewing glammed-up stars from soapland, and hosted a Facebook LIVE session for Metro with Home and Away legend Ray Meagher (Alf "Stone the flamin' crows!" Stewart) to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Aussie soap.

Simon is also co-author of The Treasures Of Coronation Street (Carlton Books)

And the writer and director of (very!) low budget fright flick, Midsummer Night's EVIL and the sequel webisodes series, The Hatchet Woods HORROR.
