At the hospital, Rebecca apologises to Paul for not being there when he collapsed but questions his real reasons behind his recent good deeds. He assures her it's not just to impress her, he feels he needs to do something good for a change. Michael is confused when Tash tells him to spend Ruby's last day in Australia with her. When he refuses, Tash sets Michael and Ruby up - both thinking they are at Charlie's to meet Lucas. Poppy and Tash encourage them to cram a whole relationship into one day. Having enjoyed himself so much, Michael asks Ruby to stay in Australia. Susan is disappointed when Karl leaves for work before eating the breakfast she has prepared. She confides in Rebecca that the people she needs closest at a time like this, don't seem to want the same thing. Karl gets a wake-up call, and rushes back home to Susan. He apologises for not being there for her. At the hospital, Rebecca tells Paul she knows he still loves her, but he has to let her go. Rebecca asks Paul if he's thought about what she said. When Paul tells her he can't let her go, Rebecca has no choice but to stay and pretend she wants to be there. Declan knows something isn't right.
